Roxburgh Entertainment Centre consists of a large auditorium that seats 250 People.  This venue underwent a major upgrade in the 1990s and provides a valuable community asset that is used for movies, shows, ceremonies and private functions.

 

In the last year, another small theatre called The Attic has been added at the back of the main theatre.  The Attic seats 14 people and is also used for movies and private hires.  

 

A town hall, supper room and fully equipped kitchen sits at the back of The Entertainment Centre and is available for function hire.

Today the Roxburgh Cinema is operated as a Charitable Trust, a successful operation made possible thanks to the efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers.  Due to this the cinema continues to operate as a valuable community asset, an essential gathering place for residents and visitors to the town.

​

All proceeds received from movie screenings go towards maintaining, improving and updating the facility. This has included the funding of  a major upgrade of the facility in the late 1990s, and more recently, the purchase of a digital cinema projector. This past year has seen the installation of a retractable screen and upgrades to the theatre sound system.
